This page covers Pretika — Hindi Horror Stories (package in.pretika.pretika) on Google Play and the website at pretika.in. Both use the same account.

Delete from inside the app: open Pretika, go to the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap Delete account, then type the confirmation word. This takes effect immediately and signs you out on every device. A coin balance is forfeited, so spend or gift your coins first if you want to.

Delete without the app: email contact@pretika.in from the address on the account with the subject "Account deletion request", including your username. We verify that the request comes from the account owner before acting. Expect a reply within 7 days and completion within 30 days.

What is deleted: your email address, phone number, display name, bio, profile photo, cover image, date of birth and location; your password and every active session; everyone you follow and who follows you; your blocked list; your notifications; and the contents of your private messages, including any photos you sent.

What stays, and why: stories, episodes and comments you published remain online shown as written by "Deleted User", because other readers have saved them and replied to them — delete a story from your creator dashboard first if you want it taken down. Coin purchases, unlocks and payouts are kept as financial records required by Indian tax law, carrying only an anonymous account reference. An anonymous account row survives holding no personal information, because those financial records point at it.

How long it takes: deleting from inside the app is immediate; an emailed request is completed within 30 days of verification. Encrypted backups are fully replaced within 90 days and nothing is restored from them into the live service.
